Britta Weber has been appointed as the Managing Director for UPS Italy in May 2021 and is based in Milano. In addition, she also holds power of procuration (Prokura) for the German UPS legal entities.
Britta is a graduate of the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelm Universität Bonn. She studied law and passed the Second State Law Exam with an honor`s degree in 2011. In 2016, she accomplished her degree as Transportation Manager. Beyond that, her GMBA studies at Macquarie University, Australia, are ongoing.
Britta joined UPS as a blue-collar worker already during her university time in 2007. She already served as the Managing Director for UPS Switzerland and Austria from June 2020 onwards. Prior to that her career has been taken place within the UPS HR function. As a well-rounded Senior HR Partner, she has overseen the HR function for six legal-entities with in total over 20,000 employees in Germany from 2016 to 2020. Before that, she served as the HR Director for the UPS business in Eastern Europe and led the HR integration of a middle-market company in the UK, called Polar Speed. Britta is a German native but has lived and worked out of Brussels, Belgium and Basel, Switzerland for several years.
Furthermore, Britta serves as the chair of the Corporate and Business Law Committee at AmCham Germany since 2019. In 2021, she has been appointed as a Board Member of the Aspen Institute Germany. Additionally, Britta supports the activities of Ein Herz für Unicef.
